How to get a rate:

To get a rate, just start a payment but do not reply with the one-time code. The confirmation SMS message you will receive will show the total fees and the amount the beneficiary will receive in their local currency. This is a free service and neither the sender or receiver will be charged in any way. Note - you will need to be registered with mHITs to use this facility.

* All fees are deducted from the total amount you are sending. The $5 fixed fee is deducted first followed by the % fee. For example, if you are sending $100 to the Philippines, the $5 fixed fee is deduced first. The 1% fee is calculated on the remaining amount which in this case is $95 meaning the % fee is $0.95. The total fees for this transaction will therefore be $5.95. The total amount sent to the receiver in this case will therefore be $94.05. A cash-out fee may also apply if funds are withdrawn over-the counter. Check with the receiving m-wallet service for details.
